I think that knowledge and wisdom
are two things that intertwine and there is a thin line that differentiates
them. When thinking about wisdom and knowledge,
it is like you cannot have one with out the other. It is as if the two are a duo, package, or
two for one special. I feel that with knowledge comes wisdom because while your
learning new things you are also gaining wisdom over time. It is said that as you get older you will
gain more wisdom but I think that you will also gain knowledge. I think that through time, you will gain
knowledge and wisdom. So when you are in
college, I feel like you are acquiring both knowledge and wisdom. You attend college to gain knowledge from
books and learn from our history but throughout your years in college you are
becoming wiser. You are gaining wisdom
through the experiences you face.
So when
thinking about the information age, I would have to say that it has helped us
to become more knowledgeable. The information
age helps us to be able to transfer information freely and to have instant
access to information that would have been difficult or impossible to find
previously. When really thinking about
wisdom and becoming wiser, you would be able to see that one does not become
wiser without gaining knowledge and being knowledgeable.
I believe that both do intertwine also. I agree with you on how “you can not have one without the other.” With knowledge I would also agree that wisdom comes because you learn things and you try things, which helps u gain the wisdom. In college we go through so much such as finding ourselves as young adults that we use our knowledge and wisdom to mold who we are as people. Knowledge helps us to learn as wisdom helps us grown as a person. I think that you get wiser with age. I also agree with you that you cannot become wiser without knowledge.
ReplyDeleteThe information age has quickened the pace at which we can receive information. It is amazing how easily we can obtain information and answers to our questions. Most of the time we just whip out our smart phones and look it up on the spot. Or we would access the Internet through our computers, and with a few clicks, your answer will present itself. In the past, I’m sure not everyone believed we would one day be able to access information at a click of a button. Yet, here we are today, with the knowledge to do so. This has helped tremendously for us to gain knowledge.
ReplyDeleteI couldn’t agree with you more. I also believe that wisdom and knowledge intertwine. Without knowledge you cannot have wisdom, and vise versa. One cannot become wiser without having knowledge. For us college students, I also believe that it is the time of our lives where we can learn to be wiser, because going to college we obtain a lot of new information that we never knew of before. Therefore, we are acquiring knowledge in college. I also believe how a person utilizes their knowledge shows how wise they are. You learn from past experiences to face present day day-to- day situations.
